What is Dobby’s Summer School of Magical Gamecraft?

This is a two-week summer program designed for young learners who want to dive into the world of game creation. Through practical workshops and guided projects, participants learn the fundamentals of programming, design, storytelling, and digital art, all wrapped in a fun, magic-themed setting.

FAQ

Participants will learn the foundations of programming, game design, storytelling, and digital art. By the end of the two weeks, students will have created their own small game project and gained confidence with creative problem-solving and technical tools.

No prior coding experience is required. The program is designed for beginners and intermediate learners alike. All concepts are taught from the ground up in a supportive, wizard-themed learning environment.

A usual day includes a mix of hands-on workshops, guided practice sessions, creative challenges, and collaborative mini-projects. Students also have time for feedback, Q&A, and group activities inspired by magical world-building.

Participants will work with beginner-friendly coding tools, simple game engines, and digital art software chosen to help them prototype ideas quickly. All tools will be provided and explained during the workshops.

Yes! At the end of the program, each participant presents their own mini-game or interactive experience during a magical showcase.

Our summer school program is completely free of charge, making it accessible to everyone eager to learn and grow. What's more, we understand the importance of practical experience for your studies. This program is designed to provide valuable, hands-on learning that can often be recognized as practical training or an internship by your university.
